Teaching & mentoring

I have taught Foundations of Psychology, Research Methods, Statistics, and Ethics in Research at Fordham, and co-taught a 10-week research assistant training series on statistical analysis and research communication at Rutgers.

I have mentored or co-mentored 10 student researchers at Fordham and Rutgers, supporting 10+ conference presentations, including a 2025 Best Student Poster Award. With María Eugenia Contreras-Pérez, I have co-mentored two student-led manuscripts: one under revision at Autism in Adulthood and one in preparation.

Since summer 2026, I have also served as graduate research co-advisor for Ayse Sert Oti (M.S., Public Informatics) on CannaMind, which applies natural language processing to cannabis-related lived experiences shared on Reddit.

Professional service

Editorial Board Member, BMC Public Health (2026–present). As of September 2026, I have completed 46 ad hoc journal reviews.
